What does it mean to operate independently?
It means that I manage my own data and choose how it is accessed.
I choose not to use corporate monopolies for production, marketing, or distribution. I surrender no rights. I am in complete control. Sink or swim, it’s all on me.
Hidden Market
The world of open source software is expanding exponentially with the advent of Artificial Intelligence and machine coding. Big companies sponsor a lot of open source software as a tax shelter, and because they use it and need to keep it operating. Because the idealistic kids that created the open source concept kept it open, you and I have access to much of the same software that keeps the world running behind the scenes.
It’s no surprise that you don’t hear much about open source software on the news: media outlets and governments stand to lose their grip if we all start operating independently.
